A husband and a wife found dead from gunshot wounds in a West Allis home Monday night are believed to have been killed in a murder/suicide, police said.
A 3-year-old child was found unharmed in the house following the shootings in the 6200 block of W. Grant St., according to a news release from the West Allis Police Department.
Police went to the home shortly after 4 p.m. after receiving a call reporting that two people were fatally shot. Inside the home officers found the 27-year-old man and 23-year-old woman in a bathroom and the child in a bedroom.
The child was taken to a hospital as a precaution, according to the release.
The man was arrested March 8 after violating a restraining order the woman had filed against him and which expired March 22, according to the release.

A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
