Dentist charged with killing ex-girlfriend to plead guilty
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41) -- The Louisville dentist charged with running over and killing his ex-girlfriend is expected to plead guilty to the crime Monday. Doctor Michael Mathis is charged with reckless homicide for the death of Pamela Faye.
It happened in December of 2008, in the parking lot of the Clark County Casting and Conservation Club in Utica, Indiana. Police say Mathis left the scene after hitting Faye with his truck. Mathis' attorney said the dentist didn't realize he hit and killed his ex-girlfriend.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
