Note, gun, and money reportedly found at scene of apparent-murder suicide
An elderly couple was found dead in their Corbin home earlier this week.
We're learning more information about the apparent murder-suicide of a southern Kentucky elderly couple.
93-year-old Lloyd Walters and 85-year-old Mattie Walters were found dead earlier this week inside their Corbin home.
The News Journal reports a note, gun, and a large bag of money were found at the scene.
Neighbors say Mattie Walters' health had taken a turn for the worse, and she was showing signs of dementia.
They also say her husband was contemplating putting his wife in a nursing home.
Police say the couple had gunshot wounds.
While police are still investigating the couple's deaths, they believe it was a murder-suicide.
