CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Mingo County man is in jail after allegedly shooting his wife's lover to death in Logan County.
Troopers from the Logan County State Police detachment arrested Jonathan Lee Ferrell, 47, of Gilbert, after a Sunday evening shooting along W.Va. 80 in Verner, said State Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Baylous.
Ferrell allegedly shot and killed Wyatt Robinson, 42, of Mallory, Baylous said. He said Robinson had allegedly been having an affair with Ferrell's wife.
Ferrell was arrested without incident and charged with first-degree murder, Baylous said. He was in the Southwestern Regional Jail this morning awaiting arraignment.
Baylous said further details were unavailable this morning.
