Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has arrested 19 year-old Joseph Laval Wills of the 1700 block of Tulip Avenue, District Heights in connection with a homicide that occurred in Forestville, Maryland.
On November 4, 2010 at approximately 10:30 a.m., patrol officers responded to the 7400 block of Marlboro Pike for a check on the welfare report. When officers arrived, they discovered John Leonard Lawhorn Jr., 42, of the 10400 block of Inez Place, Clinton Maryland, suffering from trauma to the body. Lawhorn was pronounced dead on the scene.
Homicide detectives were able to identify Wills as a suspect in the case. On November 13, 2010, Wills was charged with 1st Degree Murder and incarcerated on a “no-bond” status. Detectives determined that the motive in the case was domestic related.
