GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- Amy Adamson, the Grand Junction woman once accused of killing a man and hiring a hitman to kill at least one witness, was found guilty on six of the seven charges she faced.
The highest profile charge she is guilty of is 2nd Degree Murder. The jury didn't see enough evidence to convict her of 1st Degree Murder.
Police say Adamson killed a man after she thought he was flirting with her girlfriend.
While in jail, investigators say Adamson tried hiring a hitman to kill at least one key witness in this case.
The verdict comes after only one day of jury deliberations.
Adamson will be sentenced later this month.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
