Houston, TX: Lavandra Stevens, 24, Killed By Boyfriend Who Calls 911 & Flees, Bayou Body Count No. 41

Police are looking for a man they say killed his girlfriend, called 911 and then fled.

Alan Erskine, 38, is charged with murder in the death of Lavandra Stevens, 24, about six in the morning Sunday in an apartment in the 4200 block of West 34th Street.

Police say she suffered "unknown injuries" and was pronounced dead at the scene. They say her boyfriend called 911 "to report her death" and then fled.

He drove away in a black Chevrolet Silverado long-bed pickup truck with Texas license plates 39YGB5.

An autopsy will determine the cause of Stevens's death.
