Dundalk, MD: Wife sentenced in husband's death

DUNDALK, Md. (WMAR) - Jaclyn Martin pled guilty on January 13, and was sentenced today for the first degree murder of her husband, Lee Martin. Lee Martin was killed as he left his bar, the Hops Inn on Railway Avenue on May 22, 2010. He was shot eight times. The investigation revealed that Martin solicited her brother, Robert Garner, to kill her husband. Jaclyn gave money to Garner to buy a gun and called her husband just before he stepped out of the bar. Garner with the assistance of Brandon Roth and Strum Davis, ambushed and shot Lee as he was walking to his house, next to the bar. Roth, who drove the getaway car, pled guilty to first degree assault and was sentenced to 20 years with all but 7 suspended. Davis pled guilty to armed robbery and use of a handgun in the commission of a crime of violence and was sentenced to 30 years with all but 10 suspended. Davis thought the victim was only going to be robbed. Garner pled guilty to first degree murder in November 2011, and was sentenced to 60 years in prison.
