Wilcox County, AL: Man sentenced to prison for stabbing ex-girlfriend to death

WILCOX COUNTY, AL (WSFA) - A Wilcox County man was just handed a 28 year prison sentence for stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death while she was holding their child.

According to Wilcox County District Attorney Michael Jackson, Anthony Nicholson pleaded guilty to Murder and was sentenced to 28 years in prison. Jackson said Nicholson stabbed his ex-girlfriend, Tiffanie Jower, to death in April 2011. Jower was in front of her parent's residence at the time - she had her baby in her arms when she was killed.

“This was a case of domestic violence that turned deadly," said Jackson. "Nicholson had no regard for Tiffanie or their baby. He is going to be shipped off to prison for a long time.”
