CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Clarksville police say a man has been arrested for the death of his wife after he called his mother and admitted strangling her daughter-in-law.
WTVF-TV reports that 27-year-old Gary Nations has been charged with criminal homicide and domestic violence.
Police said they received a call Thursday morning from Carrie Kimmerer who told dispatchers Nations had called her and said he thought he'd killed his wife at their home. He said they'd had an argument and he strangled her.
When officers arrived at the home they found the woman's body.
Nations is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Jail.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
