JUNCTION CITY, Ore.-- The Lane County Sheriff's Office confirms three people were shot and killed at a house on Harper Drive just outside Junction City.
Investigators say it appears a man, Richard Rauscher, shot and killed his two girls, ages 7 and 9, before turning the gun on himself.
Deputies say the shooting happened some time Sunday night or Monday morning.
They say the girls' mother went to pick them up from school and found out they hadn't been in class all day. She drove to the Harper Drive home and found it dark and locked. She alerted deputies, who forced entry into the house and found the three bodies.
The sheriff's office is working with Oregon State Police and the District Attorney's Office to investigate.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
