The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office says a woman from Deville killed her boyfriend early Tuesday, Sept. 14, in Donaldsonville.
Sherri Dubois Slayton, 22, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Brian Keith Norris, 38.
Chief Deputy Tony Bacala said Slayton and Norris were listed as having the same address, 7850 Hickory Grove in Deville.
Bacala said Slayton stabbed Norris, who could not be revived by paramedics. Norris was pronounced dead at the scene.
Slayton and Norris were living in a travel trailer in Donaldsonville on Bellina Drive off La. Highway 1 South.
Both moved to Donaldsonville about a month ago, Bacala said. Norris was working construction, he said.
Slayton is being held in the Ascension Parish jail on $150,000 bail.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
