BRENTWOOD, N.H. (AP) ― A grand jury has indicted a 28-year-old New Hampshire man on charges he killed his ex girlfriend in her Danville home.
Jackson Mwangi of Manchester was indicted on a single count of first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder in the June 1 stabbing and beating death of 25-year-old Randi Huntley. The indictments were made public Wednesday.
Mwangi has been held without bail since shortly after Huntley's death. He's due in court within a week to enter a plea.
The New Hampshire Union Leader says court testimony by police indicate Mwangi was despondent over his recent breakup with Huntley and that he tried to commit suicide after killing her.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
