NASHVILLE, TENN. -- A Bowling Green native has been shot and killed at his Nashville-area home.
Authorities say Bryan Bell, 32, was shot by his ex-girlfriend around 4:00 a.m. at the condominium he shares with two others in an upscale neighborhood. Bell's ex-girlfriend, Tanya Slimick, 32, called police early Tuesday to report that she had shot Bell.
Slimick, who is believed to have been in town visiting Bell, is now being held without bond at a county jail.
Police say the couple had no history of domestic violence. Investigators plan to interview Bell's family and roommates to determine motive in the shooting.
Bell worked as a kitchen manager at a Nashville-area T.G.I.Friday's.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
