ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) — A change of plea hearing is planned for a Vermont man who is scheduled to go on trial this month in the stabbing death of his estranged wife.
Benjamin Berwick of Lyndon has been charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of 45-year-old Anna Berwick in the parking lot of the Green Mountain Mall on Dec. 28, 2009.
The 51-year-old was found nearby suffering from an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound.
He is expected to go on trial on July 9.
