Spring, TX: Deputies ID man killed and wife wounded in apparent murder/suicide attempt

Authorities have identified a woman who was wounded and her husband who died in a shooting that officials consider to be an apparent murder/suicide attempt at a home in The Woodlands Tuesday night.

Linda Terry, 59, was found wounded and her 60-year-old husband, Billy Terry, was found dead in the home on Degas Park about 8 p.m., according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office.

Deputies said the shooting appeared to be a murder/suicide attempt.

Linda Terry was flown by medical helicopter to Memorial Hermann-The Texas Medical Center. She had been shot more than once. Deputies did not release her condition but said she is expected to survive.

Linda Terry called 911 and told a dispatcher her husband had shot her. She said could hear deputies, who had been sent to the home, outside her door, but she could not open it. When deputies entered the home they found Linda Terry wounded in a bedroom. Her husband was discovered dead in the master bedroom. He had a single gunshot wound in his chest.
