LOUISBURG, N.C. — Franklin County sheriff's officials say that an attempted murder-suicide at a mobile home on Curtis Road near N.C. Highway 98 late Friday left a woman injured and a man dead.
Authorities said that around 9 p.m., Brandon Alexander Teasley, 21, of Bunn, shot Brittany Rochelle Williams, 21, of Louisburg, after the couple got into an argument at their mobile home.
Teasley shot Williams as she ran to a neighbor for help, authorities said. Teasley then turned the gun on himself.
The couple was taken to WakeMed, where Teasley died. Williams was in fair condition early Saturday, authorities said.
Deputies found the couple's 18-month-old son strapped into his car seat in a vehicle outside the home. He was not harmed.
