A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. Warren County, OH: Man indicted in Caesar Creek body case
A Warren County grand jury has indicted a Columbus area man on a murder charge in connection with discovery of his girlfriend’s body on Thanksgiving at Caesar Creek State Park in Warren County. Richard A. Snyder, 43, of Groveport, was indicted one count each of murder, tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse and having weapons while under disability. Hunters found the body of Nicole Berry, 29, of Columbus in a remote area of the park. Authorities arrested Snyder Nov. 28 at a St. Louis veterans hospital. Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell said Snyder killed Berry using a firearm the evening before Thanksgiving not far from where she was found. Fornshell said Snyder removed her clothing, dug and dumped her in a shallow grave. Snyder is a convicted violent felon and can’t carry a firearm. Fornshell said Snyder and Berry were headed to riverboats in southeastern Indiana.
