Lake Charles, La. —
On December 21, at approximately 7 a.m., the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a home on California Trail in Lake Charles after receiving a 911 call from Darlene I. Sias, 52. According to officials, she stated that she found her husband unresponsive in their home.
When deputies arrived they discovered Joseph Sias, 62, in his bedroom fatally wounded.
After further investigation, Darlene Sias was arrested in connection with the murder of Joseph Sias. The murder, according to the CPSO, appears to be the result of a domestic dispute. The investigation is ongoing.
Darlene Sias was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 2nd degree murder.
CPSO Detective Brent Young is the lead investigator in this case.
