Glen Head, NY: Cops report Glen Head murder-suicide

A Glen Head couple found stabbed to death in an apparent murder-suicide Monday had been experiencing "financial difficulties," police said.

The couple had "no history of marital [violence]," said Nassau County police Det. Lt. John Azzata, Homicide Squad commander.

Police have not released the identities of the couple, pending notification of next of kin. Police believe the man stabbed the woman to death and then fatally stabbed himself.

Azzata declined to provide details of the crime or explain why police believe it to be a murder-suicide.

The bodies were discovered when officers went to the apartment on Cedar Swamp Road at 12:19 a.m. Monday after a friend of the couple was unable to contact them, police said.

Police said they got a key from the landlord and found the bodies of the 35-year-old man and 33-year-old female.

Police declined to say where the bodies where found in the apartment, which Azzata said is located in a private home.

The bodies were taken to the medical examiner's office and the investigation was continuing, police said.

These two people were very in love at one time. Something happen to him something bad. Sometimes we need to walk away from a fight before it gets deadly. May God forgive him for what he has done. My God give her the peace that she deserves. May we all see them again in the Light and Love of God. RIP Jazzy I did not know you in later years but I remember the time I did and the walk home we took in 2007 when all the lights went out. I expect by the time I get up there you will have the whole place covered. ----- Robert
