Lakeland, FL: Lakeland man arrested in wife's stabbing death

A convicted felon stabbed his wife to death Sunday morning at their Lakeland home, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies arrested 33-year-old Reginald "Snooky" Enzor just after 11 p.m.

Enzor, who is accused of stabbing Radiah Craft-Enzor, was found in Polk County. Homicide detectives were interviewing him Sunday night.

The manhunt for Enzor began early Sunday morning after Radiah's 17-year-old son woke up about 6 a.m. to the sound of his mother screaming at their home at 1244 Melville Ave., investigators said. The teen ran into their bedroom and saw his stepfather stabbing his mother with a large knife, according to a sheriff's office release.

Her son ran to a neighbor's house and called 911.

Reginald Enzor was gone by the time deputies arrived. Radiah Craft-Enzor, who had serious cuts all over her body, was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, where she died.

Neighbor Brenda Hodge said she knew Radiah Craft-Enzor since she was a child. She worked hard and was pleasant to all, she said.

"It's devastating," Hodge said. "It's like there's a void in our hearts for her. She was such a sweet person."

Radiah Craft-Enzor was the mother of four children, including her teenage son, two young twin boys and young girl, Hodge said.

"To know that she's gone and left her children is sad," Hodge said. "There was no need to do it. She tried to do her best for her family and for him."

Enzor was serving four years' probation and has been arrested several times. He was arrested in December 2008 for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to a year and a day in state prison. He was released in December 2009, the sheriff's office said.

In 2000, he was arrested and charged with armed robbery, armed kidnapping and armed burglary and sentenced to 21 months in state prison.

Neighbor Tom Boyd said Enzor was mild-mannered and friendly. Enzor even did some yard work for Boyd.

"I never would have suspected that he would have done anything like this," Boyd said. "It's just unbelievable that anybody could do such a thing."
