LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB Fox 41) -- Police arrest a man after questioning him about his wife's death.
Robert Mize was in jail court Friday morning and pleaded not guilty to the charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence.
A judge reveals why he said he killed his wife on November 7th: "The defendant described to detectives that he was upset with his wife as she was lying on the couch, and placed his hands on her neck and placed his body weight on her throat, leaning in and possibly squeezing for thirty seconds." Mize was just interviewed by detectives at police headquarters.
An autopsy showed injuries to his wife's neck and throat. Mize's bond is set at $500,000.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
