Pocatello, ID: 2 People Dead In Apparent Murder Suicide

People who live in the city of Pocatello are asking why and how after two young adults are found dead in what the Bannock County Coroner says appears to be a murder suicide.

It all started at about 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning when Amber Walters called 911 after a domestic dispute that started with Robert Isley.

When officers arrived, they found Walters inside with a gunshot to the neck and Isley was found outside the home after apparently cutting his own neck.

Quick said both still showed signs of life so they were rushed to Portneuf Medical Center where they later died.

Isley, 23, was from Pocatello. He's the son of local developer Bill Isley. Walters, 24, was from Las Vegas originally but had been living in Pocatello.

The Isley family issued a statement Friday.

"There are no words to adequately express the depth of our sorrow from the loss of these two beautiful and precious lives. At this time we're letting investigators do their job. We ask that you respect our privacy during this very difficult time," the statement said.

Autopsies are expected to be completed this weekend and the coroner will have a full report then. Pocatello police said they may release more information next week.
