ALLIANCE, Neb. -- Police are investigating the apparent murder-suicide of a married couple who were discovered Wednesday.
Police found Paul Pursley, 43, and his wife, Lisa Pursley, dead after responding to a residence, Police Chief John Kiss said Thursday.
Kiss said that police had gone to the residence after concerned co-workers reported that the residents of the address had failed to show up for work.
Limited information was released, but Kiss said an autopsy had been contacted Thursday morning and the police were awaiting results.
A search of court records showed that the couple had been familiar with law enforcement. According to court records, they had experienced an ongoing dispute with a neighbor couple, which led to request by each couple for protection orders. Kiss confirmed that police had had some contacts with the Pursleys, but none of the incidents were serious in nature. Court records do not show anyone having ever been charged in connection with any of the incidents.
