FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Two people are dead following an apparent murder-suicide in Fairfield Township.
Fairfield Township police said they were called to a home in the 6300 block of Georgetown Road by concerned family members.
Officers responding to the home on Monday morning said they found "several indications of concern" before forcing entry into the residence.
Police said the officers found a man and woman dead in a bedroom, both with gunshot wounds.
Chief Richard J. St.John said it appears that Dale Kramer, 58, shot and killed his wife, Melissa Kramer, 41, and then shot himself.
Police said family members advised that problems recently surfaced between the couple, but there had been no recent incidents of domestic violence reported.
