HAZEL DELL, Wash. —
The Clark County sheriff's office says the shooting deaths of a man and woman in a Hazel Dell duplex were a murder-suicide.
The sheriff's office says a handgun was found at the scene Monday night with the bodies of 50-year-old Bonnie L. Eakins and 47-year-old Brent M. Niedermark, both of Vancouver. Both had been shot in the head.
The sheriff's office said Tuesday the couple had a history of domestic violence and she had a no-contact order against him.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
