NASSAU BAY — A woman was fatally stabbed early Wednesday in a Nassau Bay apartment, authorities said.
The victim was identified as Wanda Kilgore, 58. William John Beichner, 67, was charged with murder in his wife’s death, Police Chief Joe M. Cashiola said.
Nassau Bay police officers were called to Balboa Apartments, 2002 San Sebastián Court, at 12:39 a.m., Cashiola said in a statement.
Officers found a man in the hallway and detained him. He had blood on him, Cashiola said. Officers then went inside the man’s apartment, where they found the body of his wife, Cashiola said.
Bond for Beichner was set at $60,000. Beichner remained at the Webster City Jail on Wednesday.
