A Hamilton County grand jury indicted a Loveland man Thursday for murder, accusing him of shooting his live-in girlfriend to death June 18.
Howard Williford Jr., 53, was indicted for murder and felonious assault for the shooting death of Debra West, 49.
Williford also tried to commit suicide by shooting himself in the face.
He was unsuccessful and appeared in court - his face scarred and swollen from the suicide attempt - following his release from University Hospital.
The bullet remains lodged in his face.
