John Curtis Davis: 25-year-old man accused of murdering his 4-year-old nephew with a pellet gun Friday.
OPP, Ala. -- A judge ordered John Curtis Davis to get treatment for his anger management problems, but the 25-year-old man now accused of killing his 4-year-old nephew with a point-blank pellet gun shot never sought the counseling, a relative told the Andalusia Star-News.
Authorities have said that Davis has confessed to murdering his nephew, Curtis Ruede, 4, by shooting him in the chest with a pellet gun Friday, July 16. Court records show Davis had a history of domestic violence and and, in 2009, he was ordered to undergo anger management counseling after his third domestic violence incident.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
