Essex, Vermont - July 26, 2010
Four years after gunfire erupted at the Essex Elementary School the intended target is speaking out for the first time.
Christopher Williams entered the school looking for his girlfriend, Andrea Lambesis. He didn't find her, but he did find two other teachers. He shot both, killing one of them.
Before the school shooting Williams shot two other people, including Lambesis' mother, who was killed at her home in Essex. Andrea tells Channel 3 News about the horrifying day that changed her life and took her mom away.
"She was funny, loving, accepting of everyone, an amazing teacher and the best mom ever," Lambesis says.
Hear more from Andrea Lambesis, including how the family is honoring their mother's memory, in an exclusive interview with Darren Perron tonight on the Channel 3 News at 6.
