LAKE HELEN, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Officials with the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal accident which they now believe was caused intentionally. The victim, Jackie Miller, 44, of Sanford, was ejected and killed after her SUV was struck by the driver of a pick up truck. Troopers have identified the driver of that pick up truck as Christopher Jodon, 44, of Sanford.
Investigators have determined that Miller and Jodon were formerly girlfriend and boyfriend and had broken up a few months ago.

Investigators said the accident happened Tuesday morning around 6:00 a.m. on eastbound lanes of the interstate near Lake Helen. FHP troopers said Jodon rammed his pick up truck into her SUV, causing it to flip. Sources close to the investigation tell FOX 35 that Miller was thrown from her car and then stabbed by Jodon. Troopers said Jodon then hurt himself, and as of Tuesday night, was in the hospital under tight police protection.
Crime scene technicians took pictures and removed three computers from Jodon's Sanford home, where neighbors said Miller and Jodon once lived together. Neighbors said miller moved out recently, but would visit.
Seminole County jail records show they had a violent relationship. Deputies said, just last month, Jodon was arrested and charged with domestic violence, battery, and false imprisonment stemming from an altercation with Miller.
In the police report filed in June of this year, Miller told deputies, "This has happened numerous times in the past, and I want to believe he will change. This only happens when he drinks excessively. Even now I do not want to prosecute Jodon, I just don't want him to hurt me anymore."
Charges are pending and the incident remains under investigation. The Volusia County Sheriff's Office has simultaneously launched a homicide investigation.
