MOUNT GILEAD -- Authorities have positively identified two bodies found in rural Morrow County on Wednesday night.
Morrow County Sheriff Steve Brenneman said investigators used fingerprints to identify both bodies Thursday. A press release stated they are wife and husband Kimberly G. Noble, 38, and Gary Noble Jr., 32, of Olmsted Falls in Cuyahoga County.
The bodies were found in a wooded area near County Road 21, just east of Ohio 61 in the southern part of the county, according to a Morrow County sheriff's report. A pickup, which was reported stolen from a construction company in Lorain County, was parked nearby.
"It is looking like a murder-suicide," said the sheriff, who said he is waiting autopsy reports from Franklin County.
Deputies said a handgun was recovered at the scene, and the bodies had been decomposing.
"It's unpleasant," Brenneman said. "They bodies have been there for quite some time."
Neighbors told investigators the truck had been parked in the driveway entrance to a field for several days.
Authorities were alerted to the stolen Ford F550 when a neighbor called the sheriff's office around 8:30 p.m. The sheriff said nearby residents became concerned and discovered the bodies when they approached the truck.
The sheriff's office is working with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification and Olmsted Falls police.
The sheriff said he hopes family members can help explain what led the couple from northern Ohio to Morrow County.
