Allen Park, MI: 39-year-old man suspected of killing and dismembering former girlfriend and her fiance

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - Allen Park Police believe a 39-year-old man they have in custody is behind the shooting deaths of Danielle Greenway, 32, and her fiance Chris Hall, 42. Their dismembered bodies were found in the Detroit River earlier this week.

A source close to the investigation says the suspect once dated Greenway.

Neighbors tell 7 Action News that Greenway and Hall were trying to help him get back on his feet. And about a month ago, they let him move into their Allen Park home.

"They kept to themselves and then all of a sudden this guy comes and then they're gone," says Samantha Dolliver who lives across the street from the couple.

"I don't know if he did it. I think he did, but to take two lives that didn't bother nobody and they were really good people, that's heartless," said Dolliver.

Police sources also say that they believe Greenway and Hall were killed in Allen Park.

For the last two days, crime scene investigators from Michigan State Police have been gathering evidence from the couple's home.

Missing is one of Greenway's vehicles that could have been used by the killer to transport their dismembered bodies to Detroit where they were dumped in the river.

Police say the missing vehicle is a tan-colored 2005 GMC Safari. It has a Michigan (Persian Gulf) license plate of 7JCM9.

Anyone with information on that vehicle or the murders is urged to call Allen Park Police at (313) 386-7800.
