State Police are investigating a murder-suicide early Monday morning.
Police received a call on Monday at 1:44 a.m. from a man reporting that his wife was deceased, according to State Police Sgt. Brian Polite.
Upon arriving at the West Park Drive residence, police forced their way in and found Jerold Johnson, 62, and his wife Donna Johnson, 59, dead in the bedroom.
Both bodies had gunshot wounds, and a .357 Magnum was found nearby.
Police are conducting a preliminary investigation, but information discovered at the scene leads them to believe that it was a murder-suicide, Polite said.
A note was found on the scene, and police believe that both Jerold and Donna Johnson had been having health issues.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
