RAYNE, La. (AP) - Authorities say a man, a woman and a 9-year-old child are dead in an apparent suicide and double murder in south Louisiana.
Rayne police officials said the three people died of gunshot wounds, but officers didn't elaborate on the circumstances of the shootings. The three were found Sunday, but investigators didn't say when they died.
The names of the 35-year-old man, 25-year-old woman and 9-year-old child weren't immediately released.
Rayne is about 20 miles west of Lafayette.
