A St. Petersburg man died after being stabbed early Saturday by his live-in girlfriend, police said.
Officers who were called at 983 13th Ave. S arrived at 12:57 a.m. to find Dale Coleman bleeding from a stab wound to his upper body. He was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, where he died. Investigators determined that the girlfriend, Lakeyshia R. Thomas, stabbed Coleman following a fight, police said.
Thomas, 30, was charged with manslaughter.

(NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
