A man has been charged with two counts of murder in the early summer stabbing of a pregnant woman in Regency.
Jacksonville Police say they have DNA evidence that links Andrew King to the June 8th murder of 23 year-old Felicia Burney. She was 35 weeks pregnant when she died.
Cops say she was living with the suspect's girlfriend at home on Berry Avenue.
King apparently thought Burney was interfering in the relationship. The suspect had been acting hostile toward the victim and she had been in fear for her life because of his aggressive behavior.
During the hours before the murder, King was standing outside in front of the victim's house, walking up and down the street, and attempting to make contact with his girlfriend, who was inside the house with the victim.
Evidence collected at the scene used in connection with the victim's murder was submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for DNA analysis and it matched King.
