Montgomery police are investigating the death of a 22-year-old man who was stabbed by his girlfriend during an altercation.
Justin Harris, 22, of 330 Gardendale Drive was pronounced dead Thursday at Jackson Hospital shortly after he arrived at the emergency room, according to Montgomery Police spokesman Maj. Huey Thornton.
Investigators arrived at the residence around 2:28 p.m. Thursday in reference to a reported stab bing. There, they found the victim, Harris, suffer ing from a stab wound to the chest, according to police reports.
Harris was involved in an altercation with his girlfriend, which resulted in the stabbing, Thorn ton said. It appears that his girlfriend, whose name had not been released at press time, was de fending herself, reports state.
No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation is ongoing. The case will be pres ented to the Montgomery County Grand Jury.
