Police have arrested a suburban Dallas man accused of strangling his wife and leaving her body in a car in a church parking lot.
Garland police say 36-year-old Julio Trevino was being held Friday in the city jail on a murder charge with bond set at $1 million. Jail officials didn't know whether the Garland man had an attorney. A home telephone listing for him was disconnected.
Police spokesman Joe Harn said the body of 31-year-old Pearl Ramos Hernandez was found in a sport utility vehicle by someone mowing the lawn at the church Thursday morning.
Police say they believe the woman died Wednesday night at the home she shared with Trevino, about a mile from the church.

(NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
