Police arrested a woman Wednesday who was named as a person of interest in the stabbing death of a man Tuesday.
Michelle Millikin, 20, was taken into custody about 7 a.m. Wednesday about a half-mile from the stabbing scene, Sgt. Dave Walker said.
Gary Bailey, 59, was stabbed once in the chest at a residence in the 600 block of South 50th West Avenue and was transported to St. John Medical Center, where he died, Walker said.
Millikin was booked into the Tulsa Jail on Wednesday morning on one complaint of first-degree murder, jail records show. She is being held without bond.
Police received a call about a stabbing shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday at the home. When they responded, police found Bailey injured, Walker said.
The home belonged to Bailey’s mother, and Millikin was said to have had problems at the residence in the past, Walker said.
Bailey was notified that Millikin was at the residence, and he went over to confront her, Walker said. Bailey was stabbed in the backyard but was able to identify his attacker before he was taken to the hospital, Walker said.
Millikin had been identified as a person of interest in the case, police said.
