SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — A 19 year old Springfield man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of his girlfriend. Dustin Hatfield was picked up in Tipp City by U.S. Marshals. A Clark County grand jury indicted Hatfield Tuesday. Investigators say Hatfield is accused of shooting his girlfriend, Lori Estepp in the head with a piston, wiping down the gun then hiding it. Hatfield is being held in the Clark County jail awaiting arraignment. He is expected to be charged with reckless homicide and other charges.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
