PIERRE, S.D. — A Blunt woman accused of killing her husband is scheduled to return to court Wednesday.
Connie Hirsch has pleaded not guilty to murder.
Status hearings in the case have been frequently postponed pending the results of a psychological evaluation of the 48-year-old woman.
Prosecutors told KCCR radio that they received that report Tuesday.
Hirsch is accused of fatally shooting 65-year-old Jerold Hirsch last May at a home east of Pierre. She remains in the Hughes County Jail.

A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
