A north Florida married couple has been found dead in what authorities believe was a murder-suicide.
The Flagler County Sheriff's Office reports that 52-year-old David Sharp and 54-year-old Terry Sharp were found dead in their Palm Coast home Sunday afternoon. Initial findings showed that the husband killed the wife with a shotgun and then turned the weapon on himself.
Deputies were called to the home after a neighbor heard what he believed were gunshots.
No suicide note was found. Two dogs the couple owned were turned over to animal control.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
