Police have named 45-year-old Chris Todd Lowery of Guyton a person of interest in an afternoon homicide in Rincon.

SPRINGFIELD, Ga. --
A grand jury in Effingham County has indicted a Guyton man in the stabbing death of his girlfriend.
On May 28, Rincon Police said Chris Lowery brutally stabbed Linda Schaffer to death inside her home on Rahn Street. He then fled the state.
U.S. Marshals arrested Lowery in Ohio after a multi-state search.
Rincon Police said a grand jury indicted Lowery Monday on chargesof murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a knife during the commission of crime, theft by taking motor vehicle, financial card transaction theft, and financial card transaction fraud.
