Danielle Knarr, 25, had dreams for herself and her children -- dreams that went unrealized. She was found stabbed to death Feb. 2 at her home in Newport News. Her boyfriend was charged in her death.
Knarr's life ended like thousands of women across the United States. Almost one-third of female homicide victims are killed by an intimate partner, according to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. One in every four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime.
Friends and family members explain how Knarr was caught in a web of abuse from which she couldn't escape before it turned fatal.
