The victim has been identified by police as Katherine Kellogg Porter, a 53-year-old Pittsfield Township woman. No details have been released on how she died.
Officers performed the welfare check at about 4:46 p.m. Friday in the 4700 block of Hickory Pointe Boulevard, according to the Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety.
Police arrested the woman's 44-year-old husband after finding her body.
He has been lodged in Washtenaw County jail pending review of charges by the county prosecutor's office.
