A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?

Ogden, UT: 911 call released in alleged Ogden domestic violence homicide
OGDEN, Utah – Police in Ogden have released the 911 tape from an alleged domestic violence homicide.
On Oct. 20, Jeffrey Dene White called 911 for help, saying his girlfriend 38-year-old Marnie Stark was dead. Police say the 43-year-old was at the home they shared on 1390 Douglas Ave. in Ogden.
In the tape, the dispatcher tells White that even though he repeatedly says Stark was dead, he needed to continue to give chest compressions.
“You’re doing good. Just keep going, okay,” the dispatcher said.
“Keep going? but she’s dead,” White replied.
“Just keep going, okay?”
Paramedics later arrived and took Stark to McKay-Dee Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
White is charged with murder and two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child.
