HAMPTON - Police say a man killed his ex-girlfriend during an argument Tuesday night in Hampton.
31-year-old Traer Ramon Tisdale has been charged in the Tuesday evening murder of 29-year-old Lekeia Moneke Griffin.
According to police, Griffin was in her car on Mason Street when Tisdale approached. They argued and he shot her around 5:30 p.m., said Cpl. Mary Shackelford.
Griffin drove to the 1200 block of West Avenue for help, according to police. She died at the hospital about an hour later.
Tisdale was arrested early Wednesday and charged with one count each of murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and shooting in an occupied vehicle.
