A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?

Laguna Beach, CA: Murder-suicide suspected in deaths of couple
LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. -- A Southern California couple and their dog have been found shot to death in what investigators believe is a murder-suicide.
The 49-year-old man and his 47-year-old wife were found in the Laguna Beach home Wednesday night by a co-worker of the husband after the man didn't show up for work.
Investigators told the Orange County Register (http://bit.ly/RxdUos) that the man apparently shot and killed his wife and the dog before committing suicide.
Names haven't been released.
There are no other details.
