OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City Police said they are investigating an alleged murder-suicide at a southwest Oklahoma City home late Saturday morning.
Oklahoma City Police Patrick Stewart said 911 dispatchers received a call from a woman Saturday morning saying her husband was shooting at her at their home located at 11829 S.W. 3rd Street. Dispatchers reported hearing shots fired on the phone then no one responded.
When police arrived at the home, they were unable to make contact with the homeowners and called for a tactical team. The tactical team set up at the home and sent a robot into the home.
Police then discovered the bodies of a male in his 60s and a female in her late 50s inside the home. Both appeared to have died from gun shot wounds.
Oklahoma City Police Captain Patrick Stewart said the couple has been identified as 60-year-old Gerald Seems and 57-year-old Janet Seems.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
